The constellation-like patterns linking corresponding moles in this commercial by CANADA of Barcelona, remind me of the dot tattoos on one of my favorite people: Ötzi the Iceman. A gruesome comparison to be sure; the only photos of him are of his mummy. Not to mention imagining him in tights— Regardless: fascinating creatures all, and in the example below aided by CANADA and cinematographer Marc Gómez del Moral‘s erotic montages.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Nicolette Camille‘s Greenpoint, Brooklyn studio. Tucked away in a neighborhood of industrial garages,  gutters, and aromas,  behind a corrugated steel fence,  Nicolette’s studio is an olfactory oasis. I am amazed by what she can do with a pair of scissors– Her arrangements are stunning. This bouquet was sitting just so when I arrived unannounced;  a simultaneously pretty and masculine perfection worthy of a Dutch Golden Age still life.
